Interview Q&A
How long have you been in business?
Since 1994
What is your primary product or service?
Wheel-thrown, hand-carved pottery. I offer workshops twice a year for those interested in learning my carving techniques.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
As an aerospace quality engineer, I was looking for a way to relieve stress. A friend recommended pottery lessons and the moment my hands touched the clay, I fell in love with it. Now retired, I have a brand-new 1200 sf studio in Weatherford, Texas that is my sanctuary. Each day is spent making pots and carving clay, while listening to my favorite Native American flute music.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
I am a member, by blood, of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma. My work leans toward the primitive with lots of Native American influence. My teaching style encourages exploration and originality, allowing students to tap into their own creative energy and imagination.
What type of payments do you accept?
Visa, Master Card, cash or check
