In 40 years of experience working with church clients, I have discovered that there are often points in the processes of building design and construction at which there are many more questions than answers. How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
After receiving a Bachelors degree in Environmental Design, I moved to Fort Worth. Almost immediately, I got a job in a small firm working with Lee Roy Hahnfeld. It was the best of situations for training. I was able to observe and participate in the full range of services, learning from a very capable architect who possesses impeccable integrity.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
Architects generally consider church clients to be very difficult, high-maintenance clients, and they are. Because of my personal desire to further the kingdom of God, I want to see churches use their resources wisely and succeed in their mission. Because of all my experience with church projects, I sometimes have the answers before they have the questions, and I love sharing the advantages of my experience to help them. Another differentiation: You will seldom encounter an architect of my age and experience who is also equipped to do computer drafting.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
Currently I am a one-man shop officing out of my home. Other than utilizing a few friends to help out with drafting chores from time to time, I have no plans to expand.
What type of payments do you accept?
My consulting fees are very simple, based on my fixed hourly rate.
Which areas do you service?
I will work any where within driving distance from Burleson.
