How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
For Gary Caldwell - I was drawn to the emerging asbestos abatement industry in 1985 while still a college student studying construction science at Texas A&M. I liked the specialized nature of the asbestos abatement industry and the many opportunities this new industry offered. Immediately after college, I began working for an industrial abatement contractor performing project management and estimating tasks. In 1989, I moved to the DFW area to run U.S. Environmental Services. In 1992, I bought the company and changed the name to Federal Industrial Services, Inc. This company was sold in 1996. In 2000, I met Bob Allen and we incorporated Enviro-Mold Indoor Air Quality Services to perform insurance restoration work, specializing in residential mold remediation. Once insurance companies excluded water and mold coverage from typical home owner’s insurance policies, this industry ceased to exist. 1 Priority Environmental Services, Inc. was incorporated in 2003 to perform environmental contracting services of asbestos abatement, air duct cleaning, lead abatement, mold remediation, disaster response support services and biological decontamination services.

Our services are performed by experienced and well trained staff that understand the risks associated with the type of work we do. Projects are set up to address every detail and to insure that compliance, safety and scope objectives are fulfilled.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
Our corporate office is located in Fort Worth, Texas. Our work has taken our crews to over 20 states.
